Loading ...Katapult Will Be On The Move Soon
Multiple people have reported that there are white markings around and under Katapult in advance of the work that should begin relatively shortly on the new drop tower and expansion of the area near the San Marco bridge.
Rumors and deductive reasoning had made it seem early on that Katapult would be moved to make room for the new drop tower, but details gathered from the Board of Supervisors meeting regarding the height waiver the park applied for made it appear that there was a possibility that the new tower would be located on the side of the path once inhabited by the Big Bad Wolf.
The images below show some of the markings and their relation to Katapult.
Whether or not this means the tower will indeed be located where Katapult is currently located is unclear. It could mean that the ride is being moved to create a larger space for the increased traffic the new tower will bring to the area. Time will tell and we’ll continue to keep you up to date on this project.
