Our forum members have come through again. This time around Fur Dozy pointed out that if you look closely at an updated Google Maps image, you can see a bunch of Le Mans cars lined up nicely, seemingly waiting to be brought back out at some point.

Rumor has it that some of the cars will be used during the upcoming IllumiNights parades in France. The theming for the parades is the Paris World’s Fair at the turn of the century and using cars would certainly fit that theme as horseless carriages were the new toy of the rich at that time.
The fact that all of the cars have been stored for all this time suggests the park has had plans to use them in a larger capacity than just parades this summer. It leaves the possibility of a return of the raceway open.
