Line Of Sight Tests Conducted At The Park

More Information About IllumiNights Previous More Info About The New Drop Tower Next

I drove over to the park today, obviously not to go in, but rather because today the park was conducting line of sight tests using a balloon to determine how visible the new tower will be from different areas surrounding the park. I did see some of the testing, it appeared multiple locations were being looked at, but I wasn’t able to grab any pictures as the only place the balloon was visible to me was on Route 60, which is a fairly busy road. Even if I had been able to get some pictures, all that you would have seen was a big blue balloon floating over the park. From where I was, I only saw the balloon higher than Griffon one time, and only for a brief amount of time. I’m unsure if there will be any further line of sight tests conducted in the park for this project since this is the only day I had heard of it being scheduled, but who knows, maybe you’ll spot a dot floating over Griffon as you drive by.
