The park has officially filed for a height waiver for an attraction not to exceed 260 ft. and to be built in the Germany section of the park. Where the ride is located should come as no surprise. But what is surprising is that this appears to be a drop tower. The request is for a “thrill attraction of a single tower”. This possibility was discussed previously, and it looks like it’s going to come to fruition. Don’t expect for this to be the only new attraction, some rumors included a drop tower as a secondary attraction. So, we could see another height waiver application fairly soon.

UPDATE:
Here’s some more evidence suggesting this will be a drop tower:
Va. Gazette Article, thanks to Nora for the link.
The article suggests that the tower will be located next to the swings, but not where the Big Bad Wolf was. This means it is fairly likely that Katapult will be on the move again. Where it will be relocated is not clear at this point.
