This is going to be a quick post highlighting some recent news having to do with a leaked employee memo which can be found below. There’s not a ton of new information here, but it does confirm a fairly long list of rumored and/or leaked bits of news that we’ve heard over the last few weeks.

Sounds like the long-running Here’s to the Heroes offer for military families will be renamed to Waves of Honor for 2013. Not sure what I think of the name, but I doubt anyone will complain because, from what I can tell, the promotion itself hasn’t been changed at all.

Though the park has continued to keep quiet about their upcoming Food & Wine Festival, we finally have a few more details about the upcoming special event. According to the letter included below, the Food & Wine Festival will take place on weekends starting in late May through early June. The description promises good wine, beer, and food at the park’s “tastiest event ever“. Also included is a (rather small) image of what could possibly be a piece of promotional material for the event. Unfortunately, an official name still has yet to be announced.

Honestly, if this wasn’t included in the memo, I wouldn’t even be mentioning it. The new mobile site doesn’t look particularly good and, as @JordanFord found, often doesn’t even work. Anyway, if you want to know anything else about it, there’s a full post on it in the Orlando Business Journal, here.

As we predicted a little while back, the park is doing some work on Banbury Cross this year. Basically, the changes consist of some structural modifications to the ticket booths, a completely refurbished Banbury Market/Emporium, and some major work on the pet kennels. For a more complete look at the changes, check out this post.

Occasionally the park has been known to slip something past us. This would be one of those times. It sounds like they’ve modified Bella Casa (the wine shop in San Marco) to sell Gelato alongside the wine they currently offer. I’m not going to lie, this is the best news in this post.
