We’re coming to the end of July and year after year that always means one thing for BGWFans: It’s Howl-O-Scream leaks season! Though we’ve been letting some information trickle out onto the forum over the last few weeks, it seems that Busch Gardens Williamsburg has decided to unveil the bulk of the event rather early this year by updating a good portion of the park’s Howl-O-Scream website. Because it isn’t exactly an easy list to glance through, we’ve consolidated everything here. In addition to putting all the information in one place, this gives us a chance to highlight what’s new and point out what’s missing at this year’s event. Furthermore, we’ve sprinkled some details that have yet to be revealed by the park throughout the post as well- most notably some information about this year’s new Terror-tory and show. Enjoy!

For the first time in well over a decade, this year’s Howl-O-Scream event will not feature a single new house. While I can’t possibly imagine this fact going over well with the general public, lets hope that this means they’ll turn their attention to improving the event’s six returning houses.

All four of last year’s Terror-tories will be returning again this year. Additionally, we’ve been told to expect a brand new one show up in New France this year. No clues as to the theme just yet, but I can’t imagine we’ll have to wait too long for it.

Two of the three Howl-O-Scream shows from last year will be returning this season: Fiends and Night Beats. Sadly, that means that Dig it Up, the music focused show previously performed in Il Teatro di San Marco will be getting the boot this season. Though I’m a bit sad to see Dig it Up go, there is good news to come out of this as well: For the first time in the event’s history, a Howl-O-Scream show will be performed in Banbury Cross’s Globe Theater. Not much is currently known about this new show other than it will be heavily influenced by the incredibly well-liked Abbey Stone Theater show, Monster Stomp Revamped, which was last performed back in 2011.

The Howl-O-Scream site currently only lists one dining experience: The much-loved Blood Banquet in Rhinefeld. That said, BGWFans has been told that it’s very likely that a second one will be added to the lineup soon which will act as a replacement to last year’s failed Castle O’ Sullivan dinner show, Fright Feast.

Like it or not, bars have become a massive part of Busch Gardens Williamsburg’s Howl-O-Scream event. Right now it looks as though all four of last year’s bars will be returning but I wouldn’t be surprised to see another one show up as the event draws closer.
